...It is amazing what people can do when they really are fired up about something. Angry fans of the CBS show "Jericho" are sending thousands of pounds of nuts to CBS because of the decision to cancel the show. Check out their website: http://www.nutsonline.com/jericho.
Yes it is just a tv show. Yes, they shouldn't care this much about it. But, I do like that they are doing something worthwhile: they are also sending a portion of the nuts profits to Greensburg, KS. Donations have reached $7,000.
Then we have the guy who decides to fly even though he has a rare, lethal form of TB. Uh, why? I don't know the whole story but if you are sick (and surely that guy knew he didn't feel well), can you not postpone the trip? Don't you think people would understand?
Then we have "celebrities" making the news because of their latest DUIs, or entrances into rehab programs or prisons. What are we telling our young children when we splash their faces all over the news and magazines?

There was a CSI:Miami episode on the drug rehab thing- how its glamourized and a girl was in there that didn't even do drugs b/c it would help her celebrity status. "Any publicity is good publicity" she said.
Its so, so sad.
